Striking a balance – what matters most in general practice?

The government is reviewing general practice healthcare to establish priorities for the future.  The General Practitioners Committee (GPC) of the British Medical Association wishes to seek the views of the public, patient groups, health charities and the professions on four key issues facing general practice and patients:  It maybe that one of the issues below is of particularly importance to you, please feel free to comment on what matters to you, not necessarily the whole document.

  •      The evolving practice team
  •      Getting a suitable appointments
  •      Care and treatment outside normal working hours
  •      Continuity and coordination of care in the modern NHS.

The GPC has published a 12 page consultation document that discusses these topics and lists a few key questions. You can view the document via this link www.strikingabalance.org.uk  Or you can see a copy of the document at the surgery.

Your views on these topics are important.

You can give your feedback, directly to: strikingthebalance@bma.org.uk

Priors Field Patient Group (PPG) would also really like to know your views, so if you give your feedback electronically, please copy it by email to: priorsfieldppg@talktalk.net
