Welcome to the Website of Sutton Parish Council.

The parish of Sutton is situated 6 miles west of the Cathedral City of Ely, in the Cambridgeshire fens. The Parish Council has been in existence since 1895 and has 15 members serving the parish.

Follow the navigation bar to the left of the screen to find information relating to the council.

Neighbourhood Panels - details under "News & Views" link on the left
Northstowe - information and response from Sutton Parish Council under "Planning"

We need to know the views of the parishioners on various possible proposals for traffic management or traffic calming, or on any suggestions you may have, so please taken the time to complete the prioritising form found on the link to "Traffic Issues" on the left.

SPEEDWATCH - Some members of the public expressed an interest in the Speedwatch scheme which needs further volunteers.   We have information packs available at the Parish Council office if you are interested.

Thank you for taking the time to respond formally.

East Cambrs District Council's service standards that have been agreed with Veolia's management and approved by the Environment and Transport Committee of East Cambridgeshire District Council

These aim to clarify response times to a variety of reported issues, what people can expect from services, and hopefully reduce the number of repeat calls to the Council where residents expect quicker response times than can be achieved.

The standards also restrict the time that residents are able to report collection issues to the end of the next working day following the collection. This will reduce the number of return visits to areas to rectify problems, enabling resources to be better used elsewhere, and reducing the carbon footprint of the services. The reporting restriction is consistent with a number of neighbouring Councils.

The Standards will be implemented from 1st January 2010.
